   I bought this replacement bracket to fit to my friction mount. It is a little wider than the original, but fits my 265WT perfectly. Solid, stable hold for the GPS, fits precisely on the ball mount. I already recommended it to a buddy who lost his bracket while traveling.

   The Bracket Cradle fits my Nuvi 255W perfectly. The configuration of the ball is a little different from the one that came with the GPS, but this doesn’t make any difference that I can see. Snug enough to hold the Nuvi in place while in use. I think it’s a little expensive for a stamped out piece of plastic, but it won’t break the bank, and gives me the confidence of knowing I have a back-up should the original get lost and I couldn’t use the 255. I’m not rating the price, just the item – and the item does it’s job quite well. As good as the original.

   The Garmin nüvi 255W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator I purchased came with several ball type attachments but only one cradle. Since I used different style dash holders I hated pulling out the cradle and switching each time. Now I don’t have to do that. Made life a little easier and not a bad price.

   This bracket is exactly like the one that came with my Garmin. No surprises. CON: it was expensive for such a simple machined product.
