No sooner had I mounted the new garmin GPS in my car than the rubber suction cup cracked rendering this whole device worthless. It lasted me all of 15 seconds before it failed. I felt totally ripped off.
This is a replacement I had to buy after a friend lost the original one. It fits in nicely and has a tighter hold than my previous store bought mount, which would often fall off the dashboard while I maneuvered sharp turns!
A useful add on for my Garmin GPS.

I bought this because I left my original one in rental car. I was a little concerned about ordering this after reading several bad reviews. Mine had all the pieces as shown in the picture- mount and bracket together. I love that it fits perfectly with my Nuvi 250 and works great!
Wanted a second mount for my other car for my Garmin 285 WT. Was a little hesitant given some of the reviews but after receiving it I’m very satisfied. It’s genuine Garmin, excellent quality & fits the 285WT perfectly. It included the suction cup mount, bracket, and adhesive mounting disc. I’ve seen cheaper ones, but I like the idea that this is a Garmin product, and at under $15 it seems fairly priced (It’s currently $25 on the Garmin site).
It does not fit the Garmin 255W. I am not sure why, the box reads, “nuvi 205w series, 200w series, 205 series, 200 series” It should have fit the 255W. The box also reads, “010-10936-00″. If you go to the Garmin website and look for 255W accessories, the correct kit is, “010-10936-03″. Test it for fit before you throw it in the suitcase and mount it in the rental car.
