GPS base works great! Did not slide once on our 8 hour trip to Niagara Falls. Would recommend to anyone.
I purchased one of these back last year when I purchased a GPS for my husband and it works very well for holding the GPS on the dashboard of any car. We are constantly moving the GPS between my husband’s car and my car — whichever one we are driving at the moment. I purchased this one currently for my sister who just got a GPS and she loves it.
I’m a police officer and rely on my GPS quite a bit to find those hard to find addresses. After having two separate GPS devices suffer damage from their suction mounts coming off of my windshield during hot days, during vehicle pursuits, hard turns, etc., I opted to try something different. I purchased this GPS mount and now have it sitting on top of my dash in my cruiser. It’s been in place for several weeks now and HAS NOT BUDGED AN INCH! Even driving priority, this thing has not budged. The only thing that I would recommend to people is to get some double stick tape to mount their GPS onto the base of this pad. Even with this pad, my existing suction mount was still coming off of the pad. This is not a fault of the pad, it’s the fault of the GPS suction mount. A small piece of double stick tape has fixed this problem and my GPS and pad don’t budge at all now. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable GPS mount.
I bought a new Wrangler Unlimited, ha a compass and sensors off the middle panel on the top of dash. I hate, hate suction cup, falls off every bump on a hot day.Bought the HDFMB-2 and had a ram mount from my old jeep, I wasn’t about to bolt to top of dash new vehicle, so I superglued the mount to the bean bag. Sucker sits still on my dash over every bump on and off road, no sliding when braking, good product, toss the whole thing in the console when getting out no proble. I can recommend this whole heartily!HDFMB-2: i.Trek V2 Open Front Heavy Duty Friction Mount Base for Garmin, TomTom, Magellan GPS Devices
This is perfect for mounting your GPS without having to use the suction cup on the window. Holds tight and does not move on the dash. I would highly recommed this product for portable GPS.
