My ex girlfriend thought it would be funny to spread rumors about me. I set up this little guy during one of my last visit’s to her house, I made my own battery pack for it instead of using just 2 AA’s I used 8 wired in a series parallel circuit and plugged it right in the DC input. About a week later I visited her house again and retrieved the whole unit. Now she is very unhappy. Thanks to this wonderful product.
Works just as described and Amazon was great to deal with and I received my item quickly !!
This machine only operates in auto mode when the VOA switch is activated. When the VOA switch is disengaged the machine has to be manually operated. In Auto mode the machine stops and starts too much losing much of the conversation. I would only recommend this machine for manual operation
The P5045 Telephone Recorder is a very good unit for the money. It records both sides of a telephone conversation with good clarity. What is really great about this unit is the simple hook up. Just plug it into a vacant phone jack and set the unit to VOX and press the record button and it starts recording as soon as the phone is answered. It also cuts off as soon as the call has ended. It uses only one wire from the jack to the recorder if using 2 AA batteries (not included) so you don’t have a bunch of wires running all over the place. I highly recommend this unit if you want to don’t want to spend a lot of money on a telephone recorder.
Simply put, the thing just didn’t record the phone conversations. I would have sent it back, but it’s more hassle to repack and go through the aggravation than it is worth. If you are thinking of buying this – don’t.
