I bought this camera for my 8 year old son, he has taken some phenomenal photos with it. He has dropped it and treated it like you would expect an 8 year old to treat anything. The camera still continues to function. Really like the AA batteries, you can buy those anywhere, it is more expensive than recharging but face it, you don’t always remember the charger.

Battery door broke after just a few uses. Camera unusable. Called service number which was a waste of my time. No help at all. Expected better service out of Nikon.

I’d ordered this camera as a starter camera for my 10 year old son to take with him on holiday. After explaining how it works to him, I handed over the camera, rechargeable battery and charger to him. A week later, we complained that the battery was draining out too fast. I tried it ad found that the battery was indeed draining rapidly. I’m using two brand new Sanyo Ni-Mh 2100 batteries which drain out in the camera if left for 4 days! I even tried regular supermarket batteries but with similar disappointment.

To summarize, I don’t regret buying a Nikon but I do regret buying a pencil battery camera.

You couldn’t get more camera for the price when we bought this for our daughter. Great little camera until she dropped it in the driveway and it got run over by the UPS truck. Can’t expect a warranty to cover that!

I have some problems with this camera, because sometimes it just stop working, and does not allow me to view pictures, take pictures or even turn it of, in order to make the camera to react again I have to take out the batteries and put them into the camera again, it’s a pretty annoying problem.

And the other thing is that the pictures are kind of blury, no matter how mode I use.

It’s compact and ok in general, I don’t know if the problem it’s only in the one I have or other people have the same problem.
