I went back and forth with Magellean about 15 times trying to get a replacement part for my GPS (each time getting a different representative, you know the routine). In frustration, I started looking for an alternative mount. I found this one and decided to give it a try (I think I paid $8.00 at the time, and everywhere else it was close to $30.00) – I was skeptical because my actual dashboard mount was broken so I didn’t know how I would be able to get it to work with anything else. As it turns out, the unit rests nicely on the lip of the doughnut. When I got this big round holder I just tossed it up on my dashboard and it has stayed in place perfectly! I haven’t even taken off the adhesive backing to keep it from sliding. I have a Camry and I guess the pitch of the dashboard is just right to hold it in place. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for an alternative to permanently securing something to their dashboard.
Item was purchased as a birthday present. When the guy opened it – it had been used…the tape was off the bottom and it was “dirty”….tried to return it (40 days post purchase) and the 30-day return window had expired. Tried to email customer service and they won’t respond!
Fits in car nicely and doesn’t budge. Can’t beat it for the price. Works perfectly with the Garmin nuvi 265WT.
The item came very quickly…unfortunately it does not work well with my TomTom, so I had to return it. The TomTom does not sit up as high as others so it could not be seen over the edge of this holder. It looks fine, otherwise.
It had to be modified before it would work. It is fine now, Someone should have tried a TOM TOM ONE on it before selling it.
