If you want to have plenty of power for your small electronics, like your cameras and flashes, computer mice and mp3 players, then buy this battery pack. They charge up fast, hold the charge a long time, and the AA’s fit inside the holders to become C and D sized batteries. They are really great!

  2. M. Fastoso says:

Well, I was in a hurry and thought for the price (since it costs more than a real charger)that it would charge and have d and c cells.

    Not so much.

  3. L. McCaffrey says:

Seem good. Didn’t realize the C and D batteries are not really batteries but holders for the AA batteries, so will need to buy more AA batteries.

  4. Roger Steinhorst says:

The product is great and delivered everything promised however, the packaging (blister pac) is dangerous. It was so difficult to cut through, I cut my hand in trying to open it. I finally ask my son to open it and he struggled with it until he got tools from the tool box. I hope there is a class action suite against this type of packaging. I will be first in line.

I previously purchased the LaCrosse Tech Kit but ended returning because I was not happy with the number of adapters it came with and the quality of adapters for the C & D batteries. I decided to try this kit and here are my pros and cons:

    Pros:

    1. The C & D adapters are much better than the LaCrosse. They are one-piece and work flawlessly.

    2. The charger is simple – two options: charging and complete – no-brainer.

    3. Number of cells and adapters are plentiful and meet my needs.

    Cons:

Probably due to my unreasonable expectation…using the AA batteries in the D adapters gives you about 1/2 the normal life of a standard Alkaline D cell. It’s important to know this as you will need to recharge them more often than you would need to replace the Alkaline cells. This is fine as it’s the concept behind the rechargeable systems. I’m not an engineer like the guy who comments on many of these reviews…so I don’t know what the milliamps or the voltages are in comparison to standard batteries but I have to guess that simply based on size, a rechargeable AA battery in a D adapter is simply not going to last as long as a standard D cell.

I recommend buying this kit…works for me.
