I needed a special battery charger for Ni-Cd which I use in my outside patio lights.

I replace these batteries after about a year and the new batteries need to be fully charged before I change them. So I was looking for a cheaper charger as I already have a battery charger (but not for Ni-Cd’s). This was a decent looking unit and I thought it would be a cheap plastic alternative to the expensive ones. It turned out that I was extremely surprised at the quality and it actually works great. One of my better purchases value wise. Recharges Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh batteries…not for other types.

I have just started using this product, so I don’t have any long-term experience with it to review. I gave it 3 stars because I don’t like to have to unplug the unit in between charging cycles. After you charge one set of batteries you have to unplug it before you can charge another set. What happened to advanced technology?

  3. Richard B. Morrow says:

8 hours to charge 4 D cells? Not only is the charger slow, it is bulky.

  4. Michael O'Clair says:

good value for your money. it charges fast and easily stored, compact and lite weight.

  5. Kenneth Willey says:

The 9 volt charger is not timed. The instructions are to remove the batteries after 12 hours.
