I’m really glad I purchased this Yukon night vision system. It’s a great asset on my job site. The price is unbeatable too. You can go with some fancy thousand dollar systems or purchase these for a few hundred dollars and get basically the same results, it allows you to see at night. I’m very happy with the product!
This item was purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband. He wants to be able to watch the wildlife near our house at night. He absolutely loves it. He feels he can see clearly for long distances. It might not be the fanciest model out there, but the price reflects that. It certainly does what we want it to.
This is a good product & I am happy with it overall. The focuser is somewhat loose & feels cheap, but the image can be focused to a sharp picture. The optics are suprisingly good. I don’t think it would be realistic to expect better optics for the price. In town, with some residual light, at 100′ without using the illuminator you can easily see and identify people that would otherwise be completely hidden from view.
The IR illuminator works great, almost too well. Don’t expect to use the illuminator if you don’t want to be seen. It is clearly visible by anyone you point it at. If you aren’t going to be sneaking around it won’t matter, but don’t expect to sneak up on anyone in a pitch black warehouse. This would be a much better product if you had the ability to run the illuminator at reduced output, or if there was an optional clip-on IR filter that blocked all visible light output. Even if this reduced IR output by 50%, it would still probably be fine.
The design of the lens cap storage slot seems somewhat clumsy & might actually increase the chance of losing the cap. I think tying a string on it, or putting it in your pocket would keep it safer. At least if you drop it you have night vision to help find it.
The NV will continue to function for several minutes after you switch all power off. This can be confusing at first because the power light will be off, but it still functions. If I can figure out how to add an IR filter to the illuminator, this thing will rock.
the monocular is good for the complete dark night. no change in zooming.no change in focus . the iluminator is effective. fun when you have an application
The shipper knowing shippedmerchandise twice to me and still wants to charge me a 10% stocking fee. Never received confirmation that they received the second order.
